FRINGE - CROSSROADS
AU THÉÂTRE LES FEUX DE LA RAMPEAccompanied by piano and guitar, we depart on a journey through the eyes of the youngest woman, a traveler who is running away on her wedding day.
The story takes place in present day in an airport. This meeting place of grand departures and anticipated returns, a place where we can lose our way or begin a great escape, provides a meeting place for four women, each coming and going on their own journey. The delineation between French and English blurred as the women interact, we are asked to consider how we can find our own idea of "home" in this transient, jet-setting world. Accompanied by piano and guitar, scenes blend into songs as we depart on a journey through the eyes of the youngest woman, a traveler who is running away on her wedding day.
Notre histoire pourrait se passer en ce moment même, dans un aéroport. Ce lieu de grands départs et de retours anticipés, où les repères disparaissent et l'évasion commence, va devenir le point de rencontre de quatre femmes, se trouvant chacune à un point différent de son voyage. En s'immisçant parmi elles, le public devient témoin de leurs discussions et confidences à mesure que les langues se délient et que leurs histoires se dessinent, entre langue anglaise et française.
Accompagnées au piano et à la guitare, leurs paroles deviennent chant, et tentent d'expliquer l'importance de trouver un " chez soi ", unique et propre à chacun. C'est à travers le regard de la plus jeune d'entre elles, en fuite le jour de son propre mariage, que le voyage commence.
